Client tokens are limited per token, not per conversation. Traffic with your API key uses the normal account limits. Limits reset on UTC days. A 429 includes Retry-After. One chat session usually needs one token. Refresh it near expiry instead of minting on every message. Send turns only when the shopper types — do not poll POST /v1/conversations.
